Questions, answered.

What makes Ember TV different, how renting works, where you can watch, and how to get help.

Our films

What makes Ember TV different?

Intentional curation. Every film is chosen by people, not an algorithm, who believe discernment matters. You won’t find content that mocks faith, celebrates immorality or undermines the values families care about. We’re Catholic at our core, and everyone looking for a more thoughtful way to watch is welcome.

Is every film right for every age?

Not every story is meant for every age. Some of our films take on serious themes or hard history. Every film page shows its rating, runtime and genre before you rent, along with a plain synopsis and, where there is one, a trailer, so you can decide what’s right for your family.

Renting

Do I need a subscription?

No. Creating an account is free, and you pay only for the films you rent. There is nothing to cancel.

How long do I have to watch a film?

Each rental gives you 48 hours of unlimited viewing, starting when your payment goes through. Watch it as many times as you like in that window. When it ends, access expires on its own, and you can rent the film again whenever you want.

How do I pay?

Payments go through Stripe. Ember TV never sees or stores your card details. The price is shown before checkout, and tax may apply depending on where you live.

Can I buy or download a film?

Films on Ember TV are available to rent, not to buy, and they stream rather than download.

Watching

Where can I watch?

In any modern web browser, and in the Ember TV apps for Apple TV, Roku and Amazon Fire TV. You can also start a film on your phone, tablet or laptop and cast or AirPlay it to your smart TV. Your rentals follow your account, so you can start on one screen and finish on another.

How do I sign in on my TV?

Open the Ember TV app on your TV and it will show a short code. On your phone or computer, go to app.emberstreaming.com/activate, log in, and enter the code.

Screenings

Can I show a film to my parish or school?

Yes, with a public screening licence. It covers one showing on the date you choose, priced by audience size. Groups larger than our biggest tier can request a custom quote.

Account
